how words and seconds are counted
- a word is anything made of letters and digits. “well-known” and “it's” count as one word, and punctuation doesn't count. the amelo script breakdown counts words the same way.
- seconds = words ÷ (pace ÷ 60), rounded to whole seconds. at 150 words per minute that's 2.5 words a second.
- the text is counted right in your browser and never sent anywhere.
